Rack and Spur Hunt Club, LLC is a family friendly and safety-oriented hunting club located in Saluda County, South Carolina. At the moment, we have about 3300 acres of hunting land across 9 different tracts. There is a great mix of hardwood bottoms, cutovers, short pines, tall pines and food plots. We have plenty of box and tower stands that will comfortably seat a grown-up and a child as well as several stands that are wheel chair accessible. There's a place to skin your deer and properly dispose of the remains. Camper parking is available. The clubhouse has 14 bunks, two full bathrooms, washer and dryer, full kitchen, and a wood burning stove. But best of all, we have plenty of deer, turkey, and small game.

Club News

As deer season is getting close, here are some important reminders and dates.  We've got 3 normally scheduled workdays left (8/12, 8/26, & 9/9) before bow season opens on September 15th. Please make sure you've got your workdays in or make plans to get them in during the remaining few days.  Check the website link or contact Jeff LaCount if you're unsure of how many we have you down for.  As always, if you cannot make the scheduled workdays, please reach out to someone on the club's leadership team and we can assign work for you to perform on days that you can make it.

Saturday August 26th, is our last scheduled club meeting before deer season starts and this will also be a planting day.  Remember, all members are required to make at least one of the meetings and one fall planting day.  Again, we will be providing lunch (a shrimp boil this time) after the morning work session.  Drinks will be provided.  If you would like to bring a side or dessert, please do!  Also, make sure to check your club stand to make sure it is ready to hunt and you know how to get to and from it.

Lastly, if you need to scout some more, please get this done prior to labor day.  Labor day, September 4th, is the last day of unrestricted access to the property for scouting.  Starting September 5th, access is restricted to the atv trails and foot travel.

2023 Workdays

Workdays for 2023 began January 14th and will be held every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month.  We will meet at the club house at 7:15 AM for assignments and head out to the tracts soon after.  We will continue to have morning and afternoon work sessions, with each session counting for half a workday, so please don't forget to sign in to make sure you get credit for your work.
